Hello, my name is

John Davis Jade

Artist, producer, and songwriter

About Me

It started at age seven — a kid at a piano, hooked for life. By thirteen, John Davis Jade had already spent summers immersed in serious music study. That was just the warm-up.

At Upsala College, he doubled down — literally — earning a double major in Music and Communication/Broadcasting. On stage with the Upsala Classical Choir, he toured seven states, twice, earning a spot as featured artist on the second run. His voice hit the airwaves on WFMU and stages across the region’s colleges.

Then came gospel. Touring with the Upsala College Gospel Choir, John found the perfect outlet for his own compositions — classical chops meeting gospel fire.

From there, his music crossed an ocean. Leading a team from his home church, Praise, Power & Prayer Temple, he performed across West Africa, using music as a bridge between cultures. Around the same time, he stood on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., performing for thousands at the Fourth of July concert.

Always looking ahead, John went on to study cutting-edge MIDI engineering, arranging, and scoring at the Center for the Media Arts in New York City.

For over a decade, he worked behind the scenes at B&B Productions, rising to head in-house writer, arranger, and vocal manager. Along the way, he collaborated with industry heavyweights including the late Buster Newman, EMI’s Hubert Eaves III, and producer Curtis King, Jr.

Today, John’s sound is a genre-defying blend — Gospel, Pop, Jazz, Classical, and R&B, with flashes of Reggae, Brazilian Jazz, and Latin music woven in. It’s the sound of a musician who’s always evolving, always listening, and always chasing the next great song. 🎶
